09/08: Wish I had not waste so much time in my life....
I am on my third MBA book - Investment. Part II of the book is all about statistical analysis on historical data. Though the book I read, along with other information I obtained, indicates using historical data will NOT help to predict the future trends in investment analysis, I still feel historical data analysis is very important. True, the excessive return in long term comes from the security analysis of underpriced securities. But the historical data analysis provides a view of the relationship between the individual security and the overall market. Therefore, it is important in a short run when the market trends may be resonably repdicted. However, such analysis involves decent knowledge in math, statistics and probabilities. I feel now I am too old to understand all those math concepts, such as R-square, standard error, linear regression, different coefficient, etc. I wish I had not waste so much time before and started studying these things when I was still young....
Anyway, life is moving on. I am still studying, I am still wasting time, I am still uncertain about my future.... But I won't give up!
What heck, Oh well, guess just keep doing what I feel like to do.... At least, at the end, I won't regret....
